The environment of Mingara is unique, as so much of the property is just as nature intended and nature
has been generous to Tamborine Mountain. Rich volcanic soil, excellent rainfall, and a moderate subtropical
climate with four seasons have nurtured a growing environment that has led to wonderful diversity.
Many examples of trees are among the largest in Australia and this level of diversity
is highly unusual.
Mature eucalypt forest and all major subtropical vegetation types of the region can be found here.
Fauna sighted on the property include koala, wallabies, pademelon, quoll, poteroo, gliders, and
flying fox. Birds include Albert´s Lyrebird, frogmouth, owls, eagles, falcon, cockatoos, and a huge
variety of parrots.
