Mingara is located on the edge of Tamborine Mountain, one of Queensland's most sought after places to live.

Tamborine Mountain is 35 minutes west of the Gold Coast and less than one hour south of Brisbane, Queensland's capital. Its 500-metre elevation makes it a place apart. A Development Control Plan severely limits future population growth and Mingara is the last rural residential subdivision ever to be allowed under the plan.
